Lady Eliza Spencer celebrates UK launch of Lala V rosé at Hackstons Knightsbridge

Lady Eliza Spencer marked the UK arrival of her Provençal rosé, Lala V, with an intimate summer celebration at Hackstons’ Knightsbridge flagship store.

And Events & Entertainment joined Lady Eliza alongside her fiancé, Channing Millerd, and other invited guests for an elegant evening celebrating the UK debut of delectable Lala V Côtes de Provence Rosé.

Now available exclusively in the UK through Hackstons, the launch marked an important milestone for a brand that is deeply personal to the couple.

“The launch at Hackstons was incredibly special,” says Lady Eliza. “London is home for us, so celebrating Lala V in Knightsbridge and seeing it stocked at Hackstons feels like a real milestone.”

Lala V inspo

During the evening, Lady Eliza spoke about the inspiration behind the wine and the shared vision she and Channing have created around it.

Lala V grew from the couple’s love of rosé, travel, food and bringing people together.

“We both love rosé, but also everything that surrounds it: travelling, beautiful food, long lunches in the sunshine and bringing the people you love together,” she explained. “We wanted to create something elegant and special, but still fun and never too serious.”

Even the name has a personal story behind it. “Lala” was a childhood nickname given to Lady Eliza by her brother, Samuel, who was unable to pronounce Eliza when they were young.

The “V”, meanwhile, stands for Victoria, Lady Eliza’s middle name and also her mother’s name, whilst also referencing vie, the French word for life.

Born in Provence

Provence was the natural choice for the wine, with the region’s renowned rosé heritage central to the couple’s ambition.

“For us, Provence was always going to be the home of Lala V,” Lady Eliza explains. “It has such an incredible history and reputation for producing beautiful rosé wines.”

Pale pink with delicate salmon reflections, Lala V offers aromas of ripe peach and subtle citrus, with a fresh, smooth and balanced palate with a soft, elegant finish.

Luxury "is about experiences"

For Lady Eliza, however, the brand is as much about the experience surrounding the wine as the wine itself.

“Luxury is much more about experiences than things,” she said. “It’s time with the people you love, beautiful food and wine, travelling somewhere special and creating memories together.”

Her own ideal way to enjoy Lala V is suitably relaxed.

“I like a glass of Lala V ice cold, ideally somewhere in the sunshine with Channing, family or friends, and with something delicious to eat. That’s pretty much my perfect afternoon!”

From the catwalk to the vineyard

The launch also represents a new chapter for Lady Eliza after years of working with established fashion and luxury brands.

“It feels very different because Lala V is ours and it’s incredibly personal,” she said. “Creating something from the ground up and seeing our own vision come to life has been incredibly rewarding.”

Channing has played a major role in shaping the brand, particularly its creative direction, designing everything from the bottle and logo to the website and overall visual identity.

“I genuinely couldn’t have done it without Channing,” Lady Eliza reveals. “We created Lala V together and our strengths really complement each other.”

London launch

Hackstons proved a fitting setting for the UK launch, with its Knightsbridge flagship known for its curated collection of fine wines, whiskies and premium spirits.

“Hackstons has such an incredible reputation for quality, expertise and exceptional customer experience,” Lady Eliza explains. “They really understood our vision from the beginning.”

The evening also featured glassware from Josephinenhütte, which Lady Eliza described as an important supporter and friend of Lala V.

Wedding wine!

The wine is already set to play a part in another major celebration, with Lady Eliza and Channing confirming that Lala V will be served at their forthcoming wedding.

“We absolutely cannot wait to have Lala V at our wedding and share it with all of our closest family and friends!” she says. “It’s such a special part of our story together.”

Following the Knightsbridge launch, the couple are now looking ahead to the next chapter for the brand.

“We have so many dreams for Lala V and this really does feel like just the beginning,” Lady Eliza smiles.

Ultimately, the ambition remains simple.

“I want people to feel happy when they drink Lala V,” she says. “I’d love it to transport you somewhere beautiful, even just for a moment.”

On a summer evening in Knightsbridge, with glasses of pale Provençal rosé being poured among friends and special guests, that happy spirit was very much in evidence.
