ABOUT Elena Gibson

An internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer and creative director, whose career bridges the worlds of classical ballet, pole dance, fitness and artistic performance.

Trained as a classical ballet dancer, she performed with the National Ballet of Canada and the Bavarian State Balletbefore becoming the first UK and World Pole Dancing Champion. Recognised as a trailblazer in her field, Elena was named “International Instructor of the Year 2012” by IPDFA and honoured with the “Industry Pioneer Award” by the Pole Dance Community.

Over three decades, she has founded dance studios and creative communities across the UK, Italy and Spain, shaping the future of dance for thousands of women worldwide. Based in London, Elena is the founder of The Body is Art Method, which empowers women through movement, fitness and pole dance. She also serves as Artistic Director of Nocturna Events, leads the Artistic Committee of POSA Federation, and is a long-standing member of Equity, REPS, and CID UNESCO.

Her artistic influence includes collaborations with Sir Elton John’s AIDS Foundation, Mikhail Gorbachev’s Leukaemia Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Research, Nokia, O2, Chelsea Arts Club, Ministry of Sound, David Guetta, Playboy, Vogue, and many more.

Elena’s work has established her as both a pioneering artist and a visionary leader in dance, inspiring new generations while continuing to redefine boundaries in performance, creativity and female empowerment.
